Most single serve "K-Cups" are filled with coffee that isn't as fresh as it could be.  The reason for this is because of the cups they are using and the CO2 that is released from freshly roasted coffee. If they were to fill their cups with freshly roasted coffee, it would cause the lids to burst.  Here at Five Star Coffee our single serve cups have a one-way seal.  Our seals allow the CO2 to escape and at the same time keep the outside air from getting in.  Because of this it allows us to ship freshly roasted coffee so you can experience the very best the bean and roast have to offer.
