Tanzania - Peaberry coffee beans are cultivated at altitudes between 4600 and 5900 feet above sea level near Mt. Kilimanjaro. What is a Peaberry Coffee you might ask? Tanzania Peaberry Coffee beans are unique and have a much richer flavor. They are only found in 5% of the crop. Coffee beans normally are flat on one side and rounded on the other. That is not the case for peaberries. With peaberries, only one seed is fertilized. This creates a single round seed with a ridge down the middle. Because of it being a single bean it contains all the flavor intensity of two beans. Being a rounder bean it provides a more even roast. The flavor of the Tanzania Peaberry Coffee is of a finer quality than the rest of the crop and is desired by coffee connoisseurs.
